the gamble house
The Gamble House was completed in 1908 by Pasadena-based architects the Greene and Greene Brothers for David and Mary Gamble and their two children. The home is universally recognized as a masterpiece of the American Arts and Crafts movement, which became popular in the early 20th century. All of the Greene and Greene homes were custom designed and built, including light fixtures, furniture, windows, and outdoor landscaping.
The home is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The Gamble House is preserved with all its original furnishings.
The grand home was famously used as Doc Brown’s house in the Back to the Future movies.
