Robinson Brothers Monument

Civil rights hero and Hall of Fame MLB baseball player Jackie Robinson and his older brother, Mack Robinson, a silver medalist in the 1936 Berlin Olympics, are forever memorialized in appreciation for their immense contributions to the City and the Country.

The brothers’ formative childhood years were spent in Pasadena and both brothers starred in various sports in the Pasadena area before reaching even greater heights. Sadly, the brothers grew up in a segregated era of the Country and of course, the city.

The busts stand 9′ tall to signify their larger-than-life impact. Jackie’s bust faces east as that is where he and his wife settled after his baseball career. Mack faces City Hall as a testament to dedication to the city where he lived, worked, and fought for safer streets his entire life.
